Vizual Dog ...
From 1994 to 1999, Seamster wrote and published Vizual Dog, a hardcopy newsletter on visual arts issues in Alaska. After 1999, occasional issues have been published and made available. Several monographs on contemporary art history in Anchorage were also published, and are currently being updated.
“[Seamster} has been a powerful contributor to Alaska's contemporary art scene not only through her own work, but through her critical writing. Since 1994 she has written and published Vizual Dog, a statewide visual art newsletter that brings new, articulate and much-needed critical voices—hers and others—to an Alaska art scene . . . that can become too comfortable and unreflective."
